HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights (C+E)

Rapier Employment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for a well-established, blue-chip logistics contract based in Allington. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent, well-paid work with strong earning potential and the chance of a permanent position.

Pay & Benefits

• £22.03 per hour (16:00 – 04:00)
• £18.36 per hour (04:00 – 16:00)
• Overtime after 42.5 hours: £24.84 per hour
• Weekly Bonus: £20
• PAYE – holiday pay accrued
• Weekly pay or monthly

The Role

• Night trunking work to Bridgwater, Stoke, and Portsmouth
• Trailer swaps between depots
• Occasional shunting cover
• Start times between 18:00 – 21:00
• Average shift length: 12 hours
• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift
• Ongoing, long-term work with consistent hours
• 2 days paid training provided

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Right to work in the UK
• Professional, reliable, and positive attitude
