An established manufacturing business specialising in sheet metal fabrication is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to support continued growth and operational development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Production Manager to join a well-established SME with a strong team culture and collaborative working environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily production operations within a sheet metal fabrication environment
• Overseeing production planning and scheduling activities
• Leading and developing a team of approximately 35 employees
• Driving process improvements and production efficiencies
• Coordinating effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Maintaining strong communication with customers to ensure expectations are met
• Using ProgressPlus and Excel to manage production schedules and reporting

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must have:

• Strong experience within sheet metal fabrication manufacturing
• Previous experience managing production teams within an SME environment
• Proven knowledge of production planning and scheduling
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as ProgressPlus or similar
• Good Excel skills
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
